- Enable use of account codes for sales items in Settings > Genreral > Department settings > Show account numbers on items and item lists.
If you require the personnel to check and insert account codes in the consultation cross also the setting Require inputting account numbers on items.
- Create an item list in Settings > Items&Lists > Items > Item list. If you are a multi-department chain you can vary the sales items in use for each department.
For example you can create Item list: Vet Practice London, Vet Practice Edinburgh, Vet Hospital Bristol so that each of them may use their own sales items based on their needs and use.
- Create item subgroups: Settings > Items & Lists > Items > Subgroups > + Add.
You can create subgroups in a tree form to follow more in detail in reporting.

- Create items in the categories Procedure, Medicine, Supply, Food, Laboratory.
In Item creation select the appropriate subgroup and Item list. Note: If an account code is entered to the item it will override the subgroup.
